Being one of the largest supply chains with over 500 warehouses, manually managing the high influx of drivers was an uphill battle.
It came with many roadblocks, ranging from missed movements and inaccurate tracking to incomplete operational oversight. Additionally, the substantial labor required to guide drivers to their designated slots across vast areas added to the complexity and inefficiency of yard operations.
With the constant loading and unloading of goods, the lack of visibility into which trailers were associated with which shipments further complicated operations. The FMCG urgently needed a smarter solution to track trailers entering the facility and accurately log all relevant carrier information. This could provide the much-needed control to manage the chaos, ensuring smooth coordination of goods and trailers across their expansive network.
